God has been on my heart this week ... and I read in one of my devotionals so I am using this and sending it out because it moved me so much!

Psalm 141:3 "Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD: keep watch over the door of my lips."
Ask yourself these questions before speaking.
T is it true?
H Is it helpful?
I is it inspiring?
N is it necessary?
K is it kind?

Think before you speak! Use the five to one ratio when correcting anyone - five positive remarks to one negative. The harder the truth, the greater the love we should use to say it. It is our responsibility to use our words to train and instruct our family about the daily things in life, but more importantly, to instruct them about eternal things. We are very concerned about providing for our children when we need to be more concerned about caring for our children. The greatest care we can give is to disciple them by speaking words of truth. Guard your tongue!
Psalm 46:10 instructs us to "Be still and know that I am God."

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 "You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your body."

Power Verses:
Matthew 5:5 "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth." (NIV)

Psalm 27:14 "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."(NIV)

Proverbs 11:25 "A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed."(NIV)

And I am so thrilled I made the decision this week to move forward with my Masters program. That is the most exciting next step for me. It is a great stone of remembrance. I feel like everything is finally falling into place.

P.S. I cannot believe I forgot to post this. I am a bad blogger. I am sure I will be updating much more in the future, especially when I'm in between my Bachelors and my Masters because I will have so much 'Free' time!
